What is the safest email provider to use for everyday use?
I have been switching between different providers for a few weeks but i
still can't decide which one to stick with.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Safest email provider ?, Security is more of an end user type thing.
You'd have to give a more specific area of concern than just which
is the most secure.

For a "Portable", non ISP account I'd recommend a Google Mail
or Hotmail ( Windows Live ) account since you can continue to use
either if you change ISPs in the future.

Media players all have some risks, but I wouldn't choose one just
based on it's security.

Yes, GMail is good for portable mail.

Or if you want, you could always take on the challenge (and have a spare
computer) of setting up your own mail server (linux works well for this,
although Win 2003 can do it too) where you cna use imap with your own
web/php/etc interface like squirl mail or many others. But that's way
beyond any normal user maybe able to do.

VLC (www.videolan.org) works really well.

I doubt someone who is asking a question like this has any interest in
setting up an e-mail server on Linux :-) Maybe in their spare time, they
could rebuild an engine in an old Porsche!
