safely remove icon

my safely remove icon has gone from my task bar ,cant find it !! Any one know
where it is??

Have you removed all of the devices that can be stopped? What happens if
you re-insert them. I do not have the icon until I plug a device in, e.g.
USB drive etc.

Hi, Dawn.

What kind of device?

For some kinds of devices, there is a setting in Device Manager | Properties
for it on the Policies tab. For my SD card reader, I can select between
Optimize for quick removal or Optimize for performance. This can affect
whether that icon appears.

the icon was always there before, as all my usb plugs are being used , i have
to unplug something to plug my camera in. I have found now it isnt there , if
i just unplug my scanner , or webcam , the computer is nt reconiseing my
camera and it is a hard job to getphotos off my camera , and when i do get
them off the camera , the photos that i get on my pc are the one s that i
have already deleted off my camera from last time , but if i change the name
of the photos , the new pictures appear!!!!!! Thanks for your answers
