John

Hi.
Is there a safe way to change the "Fully qualified domain name of object" of
a user's account? (it's under the "Object" tab in ADUC.
We have an application that uses this and our admin spelled the name wrong
when created.

Thanks in advance.

Hi John,

In Active Directory Users and Computers right click the user and select
Rename. That way you can change the object's relative distinguished name
(RDN) which is part of the name you are talking about.

Note the "news2" in my email address is temporary and may be changed in the
future, remove it to email me at my Permanente address.

THANK YOU!!!
