Users display name not updating

Greetings,

We have recently migrated from Groupwise to Exchange 2003. User accounts
show in ADUC by their username, some in all CAPS, some actually show the
first and last name, with letters capitalized appropriately. We went in and
changed each user, adding first names, last names and display names how we
wanted them to show up. All accounts are showing up the same in ADUC...and I
believe in the Exchange GAL as well. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Jorge,

Opening ADUC and clicking on the users folder, the names of the users
appear. Except, some show as First name, Last name, some show as
username...and some show as USERNAME (all caps). The names in this container
that show as usename, I assumed that if I went in and added the First name,
Last name and display name, that it would change how the users were
displayed in the ADUC users container. I've also assumed that by changing
this, it would effect how they displayed in the Exchange GAL.

When you create a NEW user you enter the first name and the last name. You
will also see the Full Name will be <first name> <last name>. The diplay
name is derived from the full name.

So what you want is to change the FULL NAME (the CN attribute) because that
is what you see in ADUC!

The display name will only influence the view in the GAL
