Safe Sender/Safe Recipient email going to Junk mail.

In Outlook 2007, why would email go to the Junk mail folder even if an email
address and/or domain are on the safe recipient/safe sender list? Thanks in
advance.

Then it's hard to tell without any additional configuration information. It
could also be caused by a third party anti-malware tool that you have
installed like a Norton or McAfee security suite.
 
Do you know if Outlook enforces some type of maximum number of strings
(replies) back and forth before it tries to label something as spam?
 
No, the filter doesn't need to be "trained".
