Trevor

I am using Windows XP Home. I need to be able to boot my
PC in Safe Mode. The instructions say press the F8 ket
while Windows is starting. I have tried this by holding
F8 down throughout the boot process but nothing hapens,
i.e. the PC boots up fully as if nothing is different.
Is there some change I need to make so the the boot
process recognised that the F8 ket is call for the options
menu, where Safe mode can be selected? Incidentally, I
am using a cordless keyboard - could it be that the boot
sequence has not recognised the keyboard at this stage
and, therefore, not picked up on the F8 key?

When you reboot, start pressing F8 immediately and
repeatedly until Windows begins to load. You'll know
when to stop...the screen with alternative startup
options should appear.
