Safe Mode

Hello All,
I am wondering how to get into safe mode.
In the winxp help instructions it said just press F8 when
your computer asks you which operating system you want to
use, and you should get that menu option, but my computer
never asks me that. I only get the option of going into
safe mode when something is wrong with my computer.

Click START|RUN and type "msconfig" (no quotes)
<enter>
Click the BOOT INI tab
Checkmark the SafeBoot box
Reboot

When done with Safe Mode, UNcheck the box
Reboot
