Safe Mode stops loading

I tried to install a new graphics card and disabled the on board one.
Now I have a black screen.
I removed the new card. Same thing.

When I try safe mode it boots up but stops at
"multi disk r disk partition WINDOWS system 32 drivers\Mup.sys
Above this last line is about 30 more lines that end in "system 32\
drivers\.......
I tried all other safe modes on the list, but it either justs stops or goes
blank.
Help!

Hi bstein,

Either do a Repair with your Windows XP CD or reformat and reinstall XP.

I had that same problem and wound up doing a reformat and reinstall of
Windows XP. It is much easy and faster and less time consuming then trying
to troubleshoot the problem.

Whatever you decide, it is your decision to make.

Do you have Norton on the system ?
