Safe Mode Failure

Whenever I try to load Windows in safe mode the PC will automatically reboot
just at the cusp of fully loading.

At first it was hanging at "agp440.sys" but i've subsequently found some
info on this (a combination of video driver and bad luck.)

However I am at a loss as to what to do when my PC automatically reboots!

Any help will be much appreciated..thanks in advance :) .

some bios have speed load activate and it will thru boot without stopping,
slow boot time time, disable silent bott, this will give time to hit F8 to
get to safe mode, and then change back when done,, BIOS can be accessed thr
Delete key on boot up

I may have not made myself clear sry.

What happens is that i've got plenty of time to press f8, in fact, I do so
and I get the start up option menu. I then select safe mode and it executes
fine, but it hits "agp440.sys" and still automatically reboots.
