When to the run box.. typed "ntbackup" I chose to backup the c: drive. When
it asked for a location there is a folder called Backup's on a server. I
found it by clicking browse. Path is \\server\backup's\

I canceled to see if I needed to back up the entire c: drive or not. Now
when I go back the path is still there. If I click browse an error occurs
about the follwoing characters not being allowed. It will not let me manually
type anything in!!!!!!!!

And you are an MVP. I doubt it!

So how come your name doesn't come up as MVP on a search of Microsoft?
Others do.

Because he is NOT?

Gordon,

Are you here to help people or screen every thread looking to critque
everything in it ie. misspellings, wrong forum, etc..

Don't worry I fixed it myself.

No, an MVP doesn't know everything. But they do have the smarts to know
where to go in the Microsoft organization to find their answers! And they
also know how to use Google to find answers. You don't!

You are quite insecure - pretending to be what you are not. Trying to
impress your 14 year old pals?

Charles you are either not using your real name or you are not an Microsoft
MVP.
I have searched all the internal records and we have no Charles Moose listed
on any program that would allow you to use the MVP moniker.

Please stop using the MVP tag unless you are using your real name and are a
current Microsoft MVP.
If you are an MVP please just post your MVP Leads name or drop me an e-mail
so that we can clear this up.

Might even be both!

I did my own search and found nothing. Though I love the photos and
short descriptions of the MVPs! I got quite a few laughs!

I'm not gonna mention any nicks, but there are others using the MVP tag,
without using their real names.
If you are an MVP please just post your MVP Leads name or drop me an

I think he was just angling to get into my MS-MVP Hall of Shame!

You guys are a joke... I think it's funny you have all spent half your
morning, searching to see who and who isn't an MVP. And also judging what I
do and don't know.

You don't know jack!

What about all the folks still using the MVP tag that were not
re-awarded this year? If they aren't on the list for 2005 doesn't that
mean they aren't current MVPs?

Probably took them all of two minutes, but not knowing how to do a
search yourself you wouldn't know anything about that.

It's a matter of trying to protect the group from frauds like you. We
don't want some unsuspecting novice taking any bunk advice from you
thinking that it's got to be somewhat autoritative due to your
masquerading as an MVP.

Took me a little over a minute, using a Google Advanced search. Would
have been under a minute, but I wanted to make sure that my search would
find people that are know MVPs.

LOL! Yeah, it's hard enough to try to convince them not to take the
sometimes bunk advice of those that really are MVPs!

I wonder what his ISP's terms of use are on perpetrating an online fraud
is?

Does he think he is safe hiding behind the CDO interface? I'm sure Mike
B. can request the server records of what IP is being used to post as
Bullwinkle.

Hi,

The CDO interface have for a while now added the poster's IP address
to the header.

From the header of Charles Moose's post:

Looks like he might be posting from his job! Wonder how they'd feel
about him perpetrating an on-line fraud from their IP?! ;-)
