Backup can't locate file

C

Win XP Pro SP2 with all updates.

I have been backing up My Documents on computer ONE to the C: drive on my
other computer called TWO. I also backup My Documents on computer TWO to the
D: drive on computer ONE. I manually run these processes each week.

This morning, I tried to restore a file to computer ONE from the backup file
located on the C: drive located on Computer TWO.

The problem comes from the Restore program not recognizing any backup file
other than on Computer ONE. I can't seem to get it to look at Computer TWO.
When I browse to the location and click OK nothing happens.

Any thoughts?

Have you ever been able to successfully restore from a backup using this
scheme? You can try manually moving the file from the computer that has the
files to the computer that needs the backup and then opening it using the
backup program.

Thanks for the reply Christopher.

I have successfully restored from the Computer TWO's D: drive. But it became
too small for my 8GB backup file several months ago. The C: drive, where the
back file resides, is a 300 GB monster. I haven't tried to restore from
TWO's C: drive before.
