S.D card

Got a s.d card for my kids digital camera but when i try to format it in my
card reader windows says "this card cannot be formatted". Is it a duff card
or is it windows xp just being crap again. Is there any programs that do
format these things rather than using win xp.

If it's for a digital camera perhaps you should format it in the camera. I
know some Olympus formats and should not be formatted using a PC. One other
thing though, are you using the default FAT32 if so try changing it to FAT.

Doesn't your camera manual tell you to do all formatting with the card
installed in the camera?
