runtime error on second account

Two accounts on a windows XP PC. Second account gets a runtime error
starting IE and then nothing else will work. If I start up the task
manager and kill the IE session running on the other account, this one
starts to work. Any ideas?

Hi,
The Google toolbar has been causing the C++ Runtime error recently on some
systems. Try uninstalling the Google toolbar from Control Panel> add/remove
programs. You may be able to reinstall it or you may have to wait for a
newer version.

See:
http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/bin/answer.py?answer=24036&topic=923

If the Goodle toolbar isn't the culprit, another BHO, toolbar or add-on may
be. If running XP SP2, try IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable third-party
add-ons to see if one of them is the culprit. You can also get to Manage
add-ons via Control Panel> Internet Options> Programs> Manage add-ons. If
not using SP2, try ToolbarCop from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm

Hope this helps,

Yes, that worked. Thank you. You would think that google would do
something since they are so huge

You are assuming:

a) Someone told them.

b) They have *spare* resources to address it.

c) There isn't higher priority stuff that they have to fix first.

d) There wasn't already a patch or update for it - did you check?

There are a myriad of reasons why it might not yet be fixed, and
incompetence is only *ONE* of them.

Hi,
Don't be too hard on Google. ;-) Although the problem has been posted a
number of times to newsgroups and forums, it probably doesn't affect 99%
(just a guess) of Google toolbar users.

I wasn't slagging on google. I love google. I don't use toolbars that
often and the IE on the other account had google toolbar. So I turned
it off over there and tried it on both sides...no issues.
