Running two versions of Outlook

I use Outlook Express 6 for all my email at home and do
not wish to disrupt this in any way whatever.
However I have several email archives from my office,
which are .pst files created with Outlook proper, which
we use there.
I would like to be able to open these at home. I do have
Outlook 2000 resident on the PC, as part of Office 2000.
But I have never set it up, and I am wary of doing so in
case it conflicts with OE6.
Is there any way I can use Outlook 2000 just to read
the .pst files, but without it taking over from/impacting
OE6 in any way??
How...what do I need to do, what not to do...
Thanks

No problem. You can configure Outlook 2000 in a No E-mail configuration and
still be able to connect to your pst-file by File-> Open-> Personal Data
File...

Are you sure you've got the right pst-file? What is the size of it?

I have chosen the smallest of the four that I have,
coverings various periods, for the initial attempt. It is
20.5 MB.
FYI I haven't done anything at all in terms of setting up
Outlook 2000 in any way, i.e. configuring it. I just
fired up the icon in All Programs and it did a couple of
things for 30 seconds or so, then settled down displaying
a welcome email. I assumed from this, that it was (is)
ready to run. Yes?
Thanks a lot for yr help.
