running Mutliple Outlook 2003 SP2 instances

Can anyone give me a definitive answer if its ok to run multiple instances of
outlook 2003 sp2?

One of our techs here discovered that if you create a new shortcut to
outlook and put in the /cleanfreebusy switch you can launch the first
instance of Outlook then launch the second instance of outlook by clicking on
the new shortcut with the switch.

I have read that Outlook is only supposed to be used as a single instance
application. If you want to run multiple windows such as see multiple
calendars you should open the one instance and the right click on the
calendar and choose open new window.

Thanks guys!
Mike

If nothing else, if the pst is being accesses by two or more applications I
would suspect that it would become corrupt

Outlook is a single instance application, therefore it doesn't matter how
the extra windows are opened.
