Running both Internal IM and External - Help!!

We are currently running Exchange 2000 (with IM server) on
a Windows 2000 server with all XP Pro workstations.
Internal Windows Messenger runs fine (ver 4.7.06).
Several people want to have an external .net IM and ver
4.7.06 won't support it. Went to 4.7.2 and that still
didn't work. How do you get both to co-exist??

To use both, you have to use Windows Messenger 5:
