rundll32.exe - help needed please

T

Trevor Dowle

Hi, I'm using XP home edition - supplied with a recovery disk but
no XP home disk.

After removing some spyware and adware, I now find that when I
exit windows, I get a message box telling me that rundll32.exe is
closing down. I am given an end now option.

If I use the end now option, everything exits normally; however if
I let the blue progress bar continue, I then get a message saying
that rundll32.exe is not respnding.

I would appreciate any advice or help please...

Open your registry.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Modify "AutoEndTasks" to be a value of "1" instead of "0"

Boom, no more end now.....FOR ANY HUNG APPLICATIONS
