Last suggestion did not help. When online and I use RUN to get another site,
it comes up but a box super imposes on top of that that says windows connot
find the site it found. I have to close that, I'm returned to the run box
that must be closed to use the site. How do I stop this from happening. It
should be in the cookies file.

As you don't quote any messages, not many will have a clue what you

I don't see a previous post in this group, so perhaps you should try

The last suggestion was to type the address in the search window to get to
the new site. Getting the site was not the problem. Having the error window
appear on top of the found site telling me the site could not be found when
it was is the problem. How do I stop the error window from appearing when it
is incorrectly finding a problem that does not exist?

don't top post

you "use RUN to get another site"

you really mean that?
as in
start..run..iexplore www.dogs.com

Anyhow. whether you mean that or no. Maybe you have some spyware.
Remove it if you want. Try the firefox browser. The problem you
describe can't be with all browsers.
