Ryzen 7 2700x or Ryzen 5 5800x

I currently have

Ryzen 2700x overclocked to 4.2

GeForce 1660 Super

B450 Steel Legend Edition motherboard

32Gb 3200 Ram

and running from Nvme drives 1TB x2



I was told that i would be better off getting a Ryzen 5 5800x and it would be a noticeable improvement over my current CPU



I mainly use computer for Sim Racing, Photoshop and 3d Software. More gaming i would say



Any help would be great

Ryzen 5 5800x ? ... there is a 5600x or a Ryzen 7 5800x ... am I missing something?
