run time error

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 desktop. Whenever I boot up
my computer I get this message:
Run Time Error
Microsoft Visual C++
RunTime Library
Program:c:\Progra~1\Purene~1\Portma~1\Portaol.exe
How do I eliminate this from happening.

This error is coming from a program called Pure Networks Port Magic. I
have no idea what this program does, but try uninstalling it.

I found this: AOL 9.0 application port mapper. This is a beta product as of
3/2004 and still runs a little buggy
Try removing the shortcut in All Programs>Startup or call AOL for help.

I get an error message when I boot up my PC that has something to do with the
Port Magic Application. Anyone have anymore info on this - so I can fix it?
I do use aol 9.0 & just updated it on this new PC. I have not tried
remonving the shortcut Mary suggested - I wanted to find out if anyone had
anymore updated info. first.
