run powerpoint on projector without laptop

Hi all,
I have been researching purchasing a projector for our
business mostly used to run powerpoint presentations.
I have come across some newer models that have built in
usb and flash card capability. My question is does
anyone know of a device that can hookup to a projector
that will run powerpoint from a flash card or usb stick
or from a cdrom? I'm looking for a device that would
elimate the use of a laptop and would run all verisons of
powerpoint.
Thanks in advance for any help

I've seen something like this advertised, but as near as I can recall, they all
needed you to run some kind of a conversion from PPT to their own format and at
the time, their own format didn't support all of PPT's features. It became
more like a series of still images.

That's all I've ever seen. They say they are powerpoint compatible.....but they require you to save your presentation as
a series of JPGs. Then the projector just shows the JPGs in sequence. I've yet to see a projector with full powerpoint
capability embedded within it.

hi best advice is to talk to some who knows this subject. contct house
of projectors. hop.com or ivojo multimedia. ivojo.co.uk and tell them
what you need.

these guys are dealing with presentation equipment 24/ 7 so they will
know more than the rest of us.

good luck. and if you find a solution. be nice to post it back on this
forum and share your knowledge.
