have you tried right clicking on the desktop icon? there you can specify that
xp run the old program using an older enviroment..... however, there is a
possibility that it may simply be uncompatiable with the new o.s.

BECCABOOP; to kwg; I just have a question, I am looking for pre 1982 PC
Games, not just any games, the ones that had only writing involved. EXAMPLE:
You are walking down a path in a large forest, to the right is a very old big
house, to the east is an opening to a cave, then you write go to the door of
the huge house, knock on door and there is no answer etc... the PC games were
useing your mind only,with several outcomes to every thing you write, I have
been looking for these games for a long time, if anyone can help me please
let me know, Thanks, Beccaboop

I seem to remember they were called text adventure games. This search
might get you started.. Change the search parameters to widen or narrow
