Rules Wizard Run Now button

C

Carlisle Creed

I am attempting to execute a series of rules from a public
Distribution List to a Distribution List from my client.
The rules are set to forward to the Distribution list
based on certain words in teh subject. The Rules are
saved on my client PC. They will not run automatically
even though turned on. I am running Outlook 2002.

When I perform manual run of the rules, the Run Now button
does not execute the script. It has executed once before
and worked.

Is this error corrected in SP3 or am I doing something in
error?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Best,
Carlisle Creed

You are connected to an Exchange server? If so; you're not doing anything
wrong. Automatic replying and forwarding to the Internet is deisabled on the
Exchange server as a secure default. Contact your administrator to see if
your organisation allows you to change this security setting. When you've
sorted out the politics your administrator can enable it in the following

The emails are not getting forwarded outside of the
company or from the Internet. I have a public mailbox
that I am trying to get the rules to run automatically on
as opposed to on my own inbox.

Rules only fire for the mailbox that is configured as te Outlook Today
mailbox

You'll need to create an additional profile with your second mailbox as the
default mailbox
