Rules | They do not work 'automatically' in |Sent| folder?

I have created a number of rules for my incoming and outgoing email. I like
to store incoming and outgoing messages relevant to a subject in one folder.
This gives me a 'conversational' structure to my stored emails.

Thus, I have a number of rules set for email that is sent out, with the
specific conditions. However, the rules that apply to any |Sent| folder, does
not work 'automatically'. I, either have to drag drop the email to the
relevant folder or go into rules and use the [ ] checkbox to apply that
specific rule manually on the |Sent| folder.

So the question is: Rules do not apply 'automatically' to sent messages?

if you want to use a rule on the sent folder you need to create after
sending rules or run them manually. You can also choose a sent folder from
the options dialog before sending.

If the message was moved before you replied, you should enable the feature
to keep sent items with the original. tools, options, email options,
advanced.
