Rules rule, fix the cap limit issue, give us the choice for rules l

Here is a good suggestion for Microsoft in the new versions of Office and
Outlook.

Please remove all limitations and make them be a user configurable option.
This 32K crap for rules limit in Outlook is ridiculous and insulting for
people who live and rely on email as a primary communications tool. We live
off rules, rules keep us managed and organized, how can you add a cap limit
on organization and rules.

Please get a fix for this rules limit issue because people need it to help
them stay organized and to better manage there emails.

Remove or change the cap limit issue please. We would like it to be an
option that we can set it to whatever size we want. This isn't the 80s, this
is the 21st century, email is KING.

Thank you.

While I agree with your suggestion, it's not an arbitrary limit, I suspect.
The space allocated to rules is probably tracked via a signed 16 bit
integer, the largest value of which is 32767. It wouldn't surprise me if
this part of Outlook (and Exchange) hasn't changed much since the days when
32 bit integers weren't all that common.

Mr. Tillman,

Of which I do agree with you as well, but we have to also keep in mind that
as technology grows the underlying factors needs to grow as well. Email back
then (in the 16bit days) compared to email is very different and a lot more
features are being put it email, so why can't the underlying factors be
corrected/updated to facilitate these new developments and growth in email.

For Microsoft to say this is not possible would be more than hard to
swallow, after all, they wrote and developed Exchange.

We need a fix, i'm tired of settling for substandard ways of handling my
emails when it has a working viable solution built in
