Rules not working for blocking certain junk senders

Have repeatedly created a rule for a couple of junk email senders to
permanently delete the mail. The rules show in my tools, yet the mail still
keeps being sent to my inbox. I've tried blocking the email address,
certain words in the subject, my own address, yet NOTHING seems to get rid of
these senders!!

Since junk mailers constantly change the sender address, it is unlikely that
using rules to block specific senders will help. Try a third-party antispam
tool like SpamBayes (http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/) or SpamPal
(http://www.spampal.org/).

I am haveing the same problem, but i only use the last part of the senders
address. like .de .uk ect. it works sometimes if i do it manually, but not
all the time. i even broke down the filters into individual ones. Same thing
happens when i filter on words in the subject line.

What version of Outlook? For Outlook 2003/2007, you should consider using
ht e Junk E-mail filter's International options.
it works sometimes if i do it manually, but not all the time.

Without seeing how you "do it manually", it's impossible to tell you if
there is a better way.

Brian,

I am using outlook 2007 and running Vista Ultimate. I have alread use the
international options. to "do it manually" I do the following:
1. click on tools
2. click on Rules and Alerts
3. click on Run Rules Now
4. select the rules I want to run. I sperated all the rules out into
single rules thinking it would help.
5. Click Run Now

It blinks and does nothing, also the rule don't stop them before they hit my
junk-mail folder.

some of the rules I have are ..... .de .be .uk .it - apply to
messages in the senders address

others applied to subject or body.

both I have selected Delete it.

TIA for you assistance

Unless you state the exact text of the rules and give an example of a
message you think should should be acted upon, I can't help.

This is natural and by design. The Junk E-mail filter runs before the rules
engine.
