Rules for multiple accounts

Hi,

My Outook (XP) is set to receive mail from 2 similar SMTP
addresses on Exchange Server 2000, i.e.
(e-mail address removed) and (e-mail address removed). I want the
mail from each account to be moved to their own folder but
the rules wizard does not perform the move, the new mail
simply goes to the Inbox.

In the wizard I used "Apply this rule after the message
arrives with (e-mail address removed) in the recipient's
address move it to address1 folder"

I have the same for address2. Is there something I'm
missing?

Many thanks,
Mitchell

See if setting up a Contact for each of the addresses and then changing the
rules to sent to helps

Robert,
Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion but to no
avail. I think the problem is present because the SMTP
addressed are set in AD. Whenever you try to reference the
contact using the non-primary address it always reverts to
the primary.
I may need to create a dummy account in AD to tie to the
new address, unless you can suggest a more efficient means!
Many thanks,
Mitchell

Ahh sorry didn't realise that they were secondary addresses on the same
mailbox, you could create a distribution list (in Active Directory) and make
your primary address a member of the list, a couple more options are to
create a mail enabled public folder or as you say another mailbox with a
forwarder to you on it.
