Rules- clear message flag

We use Exchange Server 2000 with Outlook 2002. I want to setup a rule so
that any incoming message that meets my criteria clears the message flag. I
assume that means that the envelope icon in the system tray will not appear
for those messages. Am I correct in this assumption?

No, you're not correct in that assumption. The tray envelope is unrelated
to message flags.
