Ruler in Word

I have a user who keeps losing the ruler at the top of the document, they're
using Office 2003, I have ruler check marked in the view tab, but we
continue to loose it from doc to doc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try selecting on the Toolbar, under View, Ruler. This should stay the same for all docs. Or, at least, it does for me.
