rstrui.exe (system restore process) is always in memory--help!!!

Title about says it all. When i invoke system restore to create a restore
point, rstrui.exe starts up in task manager. I can create the restore point
and the wizard appears to end normally. However, in task manager the
rstrui.exe process is still loaded! I have programs that use system restore
automatically and they hang because the rstrui process is not ending and
therefore not hand back off to the main program. I have searched and
searched for help---any advice?

Thanks Bert, but that didn't help. Still the same problem. I can further
tell you after fiddling around that if i stop the dcomlaunch service from
starting, then srtrui.exe ends as it should after creating the restore point.
I can't leave this service off however. Any other advice?

No luck with turning off DCOM by the method suggested in the article you
reference. The only way it seems allow rstrui.exe to end normally is by
disabling the DCOMlaunch SERVICE but i can't do that because it kills my
bluetooth. Microsoft really sucks

I don't know if this helps but it is the srclient.dll that is ultimately
stuck in memory and preventing rstrui from ending normally.
