I am enabling routing and remote access to allow vpn
connections from remote sites. The problem I am having is
whenever I start the service I cant access the Internet.
When I stop the service I can. Can someone tell me what I
am missing.

From the RRAS console, check for IP filters set on your external
interface. The setup wizard will configure filters to block non-VPN traffic
in some cases.
