RPC.how to download?

Hi.
A friend is having problems with her computer shutting
down initiated by nt authority/system.The problem is,i
think i know what download she needs,but has anyone any
ideas on how she can run it on her computer as she only
gets about 10 seconds once she's connected,till a box
comes up telling her she'll be disconnected in 60
seconds.Thanks

If possible you could get someone else to download the file and burn it on
disc, or try typing in "msconfig" in run, and untick "Msblast.exe" and see
if that buys more time.

I'm not a Windows user but my boss noticed that after exeriencing this
problem, he sees outgoing activity after dial-up - even with no internet
software running.

Opening up the status box, it is clear that bytes are going somewhere.

To stop the reboots: Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc. Scroll down
to Remote Procedure Call (RPC)/Logon/First Failure/Restart the Service.

Then close Windows Explorer, End Process in the Task Manager for
msblast.exe, run the edit on line 257 then run the patch listed below it:
