Rotating FAX image

Mike Schumann

On a regular basis, we get FAXes on our Windows Server 2003 system that are
upside down or sideways. Is there any way that these FAX pages can be
rotated and saved back to the FAX in box so we can forward them by e-mail
with the proper orientation?

Thanks,

This cannot be done using fax console.

Alternatively you could go to the fax archives directory,
<windir>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Inbox and rotate the received fax.

This would be a very usefull enhancement. How does one get Microsoft's
attention on something like this?

Sorry, I am missing something. What exactly can fax provide you in this
context? Please explain the feature in more detail.

Many of the FAXs we receive are rotated 90 or 180 degrees. When you view
the FAXs, you can rotate the image, but you can't save the corrected image
back to the inbox so you can e-mail it to another person.

It would be VERY helpful if the FAX image viewer had the ability to update
the image in the inbox. Currently, the FAX image viewer only has the
ability to save a copy in another location.
