Rolling back I.E. 7 to 6 the I.E. and desktop icon

After rolling back I.E. 7 to 6 the I.E. desktop icon, on left click creates
a shortcut to I.E. and the Right click dropdown options from top to
bottom are: Create Shortcut, Delete, Rename and Properties.
Properties selection brings up the normal Internet Propeties but I can't
use desktop icon to open I.E. and wonder if anyone knows how to add
Open to the icon's abilities?

Thank you for the help. After looking at your reistry merge/fix, I saw,
using Regedt32, that my "OpenHomePage" had a LegacyDisable REG_SZ element
between the Default and Muiverb entries. Deleting it restores Open Homepage
default.

Glad you fixed it.. FYI, LegacyDisable :

- - - - - - - -
Some applications may search the registry for verb keys that are no longer used. For
that purpose, those keys can be left in the registry with the addition of the
LegacyDisable value to the verb's key, which tells the system that the verb is not an
actual verb, but exists solely for the purpose of backward compatibility.
