Roaming profiles

Good afternoon,

I have problem, so I have question, if you can help me please answer.

Subject: Roaming profile

1. you can use this in policy settings "Do not detect slow network
connections"
Question is: How computer detect network connection? If he go true
slow detection?
Describe: Is this speed detected as speed which is between computer
connected to LAN network? or This speed is detected as speed which is
between computer and server(on which is roaming profile)?

2. If old profile(corrupted profile) exist on local machine and I log
on this machine, roaming profile will merge with this old
profile(corrupted profile) or this old profile(corrupted profile) will
be delete and roaming profile will come?

3. What happend if during log of process when roaming profile is
copied back to server user dont want to wait and turn off computer?

Thank you for your time spend on my problems.
Blüml Mario.

Slow network connections used to mean dialup
not sure if that is still the case but if so the
registry has Dword value that changes from 0
to 1 if dialup connection established.

I answer myself:

1. Computer detect speed connection. Using two methods:
-if ip-connection for measuring speed is used ping
-if nonIP-connection for measuring speed is used time in milisecond
connection is measured between computer and server which hosting profile.
