Roaming Profiles

Hello,
I have set up a number of roaming profiles based of the users original
local profile. I just copied the whole thing to a network share.
Everything seemed to be working fine....They even had their e-mail in
Outlook Express. However, it would seem that once they logged off the Local
Settings folder was deleted off the network share and thus their Outlook
Express e-mail appears gone. Interestingly enough, however, the settings
for their e-mail accounts remain unchanged. So now I have a bunch of users
with several inbox's containing different e-mails on several machines.
After some research it would appear that the Local Settings folder does
not roam by design. I really need this to work without moving to Outlook
2000 or higher. Can anyone offer any work around to this issue?

Hey,
I just wanted to let anyone who is also experiencing the same problem
that I have answered my own question and found an easy fix.

1.) In the profiles root create a folder. I called mine "Outlook Express"
but really this folder can go anywhere except "User Data" and "Local
Settings" because those folders are not copied in a roaming user.
2.) Open Outlook Express and choose Tools, Options, Maintenance, Store
Folder, Change.
3.) Navigate to the Mail folder you just created and choose it.
4.) Save your settings and exit outlook
5.) Go back to the mail folder you created and make it hidden.

That's it, good stuff
