Roaming Profiles stopped working for 1 wired laptop on 12-21-2007.

I've noticed that this user's profile stopped updating on 12/21/2007. It was
working fine until then. I've confirmed that the problem is only on this
laptop for all users. User profile for this user and other users work on
another PC.
Laptop is wired. All latest updates.
Today I installed User Profile Hive cleanup service. No change is status.
I'm using Roaming Profiles a a means of backing up data to server which gets
backed up to tape.

Can anyone offer any advice for a solution to either the issue I'm having or
a better way to maintain a server copy of user data?

It's likely to be some registry problem in the WinLogon key, see:

More info for issue.
If I rename or delete server copy of profile, when I login again it creates
the base folder for the users server profile but never replicates any data.

Again it does work OK on another PC for this user.
Does not work or the user on his laptop.

I'll try the above suggestions when I meet w/user again next week.
