Roaming Profile trouble

Our company is using WIN2000 Server. We have users set up
to use roaming profiles. A few of them have the following
problem. They can log on to a handful of PC's throughout
the company and all their personal settings are as they
should be. They will then go to another building and when
they log on none of their personal settings are there.
95% of the compnay has no problem while the other 5% are
driving us crazy with the problem. We use DHCP and Static
IP's and it will happen on either setup. No error
messages appear at logon. When checking the profile on
the PC it is listed as roaming profile but status is
listed as a local. Other users can log onto the same PC
and have no problem. Anybody ever have this trouble ?

Check the event logs for userenv errors, etc....post back. What's the
connection speed/type to the other building?

The error is listed as event id 1525.

Windows has detected that Offline Caching is enabled on
the Roaming Profile share - to avoid potential profile
corruption, Offline Caching must be disabled on shares
where roaming user profiles are stored.

We tried to disable the caching in a previous attempt to
fix the trouble but it had no effect
