Roaming/local profile

I am trying to add a user on another user's machine, W2K
prof, and he gets an error saying that his roaming profile
is not found and all his changes will be lost etc,
and "Access denied".
I added the user from the domain (domain\user)to the local
user group, and also to the local admin group, same result.
This happens sometimes but not always when I add another
user to a machine. If I try to change the local profile to
roaming in the control panel, there is only "local"
profile available.
I would appreciate any help.

Check the User's account to see if a profile path is
specified. If so make sure the path is accessible and it
contains all of the necessary files and folders such as
ntuser.dat or ntuser.man
