I have been using RIS in Win2K AD env. now successfully for quite some time
I got some new Dell GX270 computers, and they are giving me fits. Right now, I used my SP4 CD to build my base image and to load the machine, installed all the software, and am trying to blow the image onto the other 9 identical machines. I am getting the following message
Setup cannot copy the operating system image you selected. This computer uses a different HAL than the computer from which the image was created
The signature of the original HAL is: ACPI compatible Eisa/Is
The signature of this computers HAL is: ACPI 1.0 APIC Platform Up.
These machines are exact duplicates of each other. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
