RIS OEM Folder - Does not copy over in RIPREP Image

Having issues with RIS on Windows 2000, specifically with
the OEM folder for drivers.

Experimenting with Server 2003, the drivers folder only
had to be at the same level as the I386 folder, at the CD
Based Image. All RIPREP images that were created, would
copy this OEM folder, when they were loaded on the client
machine.

Isn't Server 2000 supposed to work the same? I thought
that it did, but for some reason, my OEM folder does not
copy when loading RIPREP image. I know the SIF file is
set properly, because when the PC looks for drivers, it
has add the alternate locations from the SIF...but the
OEM folder does not copy over. When I install the CD
based image however, the OEM folder copies over properly.

I guess it has something to do with IntelliMirror or SIS,
but not sure if there is anything I can do to correct
this. Is this normal for 2000 Server?

Windows Server 2000 will also copy the folder, but I've noticed RIPREP
images can be reluctant to do so if the drivers were not needed during the
RIS.

The driver folder needs to be in the cd-based folder, that is correct.

The SIF in the RIPREP image needs to point at the folder, ie:

[Unattended]
OemPreinstall = yes
Oempnpdriverspath = "\Drivers\nic\"

You may want to experiment with creating a drivers folder in this location,
place the drivers there for all devices, and reference them in the SIF:

\\server\REMINST\Setup\English\Images\RIPREPimage\i386\Mirror1\UserData\Driv

Ok..I will give that a try. The RIPREP SIF does have the
path to the OEM folder, but doesn't want to copy it, even
though the drivers are needed.

Actually...what I did to get it to work, is just copied
the DRIVERS folder into the RIPREP image...not sure if
that is the best way, but it does work. Then the Driver
folder copies over, and the path in the SIF works.

I just found it strange that the behaviour in 2003 was
different from 2000.
