Thanks in advance. Can anyone give me an indication of how fast 1 RIS server
can get images out to 150 desktops on the same subnet as the RIS server?

Its depending on many factors, if you're using risetup or riprep
images (including apps etc.) and the speed of the network. A typical
risetup (system image) install is between 20 and 40 minutes on new
hardware and 100 mbit network. riprep images is in general a little
bit faster, 10 - 20 minutes...

Thanks for the info. Does RIS support Multicasting? If i needed to buildup
150 computers in a desaster recovery mode quickly can RIS handle that kind of
a load?

Sorry, no, RIS does not support multicasting and I would not recommend
deploy 150 computers at the same time from a RIS Server...

If you need to deploy 150 computers at exactly the same time (like for
a series of classrooms) you most likely want to use an imaging product
like ghost or altiris.
