RiPrep unattended install question

Hello. I'm doing volunteer work for a non-profit and am looking for a way to
simplify computer installations. As all computers used are donated, they
have different hardware and come with their own license. I'm planning to use
riprep to do remote installations on the computers (several campuses) with an
unattend file. My question is, is there some way to have the unattended
install look at some sort of centralized list of available licenses (aka
product id keys, CALs, or whatever you want to call them) and use one that is
not already in use? We want to make sure we don't accidently use the same
license on more than one computer. I was thinking of either using the W2k
licensing server or even a text file that I can type in license numbers when
a new computer is donated, but I don't know how to get the install to use one
of these numbers. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Hi,
I far as i know, licensing and Product ID's are different. You must use the
product id specifically. Meand you may have to create that many answer files,
as long as you have a volume licenses. And since u have individual licenses
you must have so many anser files with product id specific to them.

Weel i am trying to research on this, any info will get back to you.

Thanks for the reply. I had a mindblank while I was typing before and
couldn't remember the correct name for it. By license and product ID, I mean
the Product Key that appears on the Certificate of Authenticity sticker on
the side of the box.

I was afraid that I was going to have to create a new answer file for each
box. It seems that since MS thought of allowing you to create a list of
computer names, that they should have thought of allowing the same thing for
product keys too. Oh well. Thanks anyways.
