right-click stat

When I right-click the start button to get to the windows explorer, it seems
to take forever to appear. I understand that it's trying to take me to my
start menu folder, but it always takes me to the wrong user. So why does it
bother?

Can it just start in the root directory, or something?

Speeding up the context menu can be done with a registry edit:
Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
Value Name: MenuShowDelay
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: 0-999 (milliseconds)

If you what to open yoru file system explorer at the root level select it
from the context menu on your desktop icon "My Computer" rather then the
Start button.
