Problem displaying right click menu in Windows Explorer

Hi,

When I open windows explorer, either by clicking the window explorer
shortcut link or window key E,
right click on any folders, the hour glass will go forever and that
particular window explorer session will hang for around 5mins,
if right click again after it comes back, it will hang for another 5 mins.
but if I start the 2nd window explorer session, the right click will work.
any idea ? thanks

forgot to mention I am using Windows 2000 Professional with SP4
