Brian

Hey you guys:

I recently reinstalled WindowsXP on my Dell computer.
When I open up All Programs and then right-click on the
list of programs (to Sort by Name) or on an individual
program's shortcut (to access the Properties), I get a
quick 'ghost' of a dialog, then nothing. I can't create
shortcuts or list properties or sort the programs.

I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks - Brian

Hi Brian,

See if this applies:

Right click the Start button, select Properties, Customize. Scroll through
the options on the Advanced tab and put the check mark back in Enable
dragging and dropping.

If your right clicking abilities are more complexed, run this edit.

Enable or Disable the Right Click Context Menu (Line 56)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
