Right click freezes in Word 2007

Whenever I search for a file and right click it (i.e. to delete it), Word
freezes and I get the message "Word has encountered a problem and must
close." Does this mean I have to reinstall Word?

Re-installing is unlikely to achieve anything useful. You might need to
repair it from the Windows add or remove programs applet. First see
