right click - delay

when i right click on any folder or icon, there's a looong delay until it
opens. thereafter, i can right click on anything without any delay at all.
what's up with that? thanks, dan

When you right click a folder, drive, etc. Windows attempts to collect
information about the item. Sometimes it takes longer than one would
like. A solution to this is running Disk Defragmenter to speed up your disk.
