right-click context menu - animated vs instant

When I right-click in Windows Explorer or any program for that matter, the
context menus expand, in an animated fashion, from the tip of the cursor to
the right left, up or down, depending on where the cursor is located. I
seem to recall the menus simply popping up - instanly - no animation - but
can't find the setting to restore it. Can any of you help me? Thanks.

Hi Peter,

You may want to disable the 'transition effects' under the visual effects. More information here:
