Ribbons

In Word2007 the ribbon tab you choose (say 'Home') stays open and 'locked' at
the top of the screen while you edit the document, but in Excel2007 the
ribbon tab you choose only opens when you click on it and then, once you
click again in the worksheet the ribbon tab you chose closes... Is there any
way to 'lock' the last selected ribbon tab open while you work in the
worksheet?

Hi,

On my machine Word worked the same way as Excel. Please give us more
details, what tab are you on in Word and Excel and when you click on the
spreadsheet or the document and what tab appears when you do that.

Rik, in Excel, you double-clicked the ribbon tab and minimized it.
Double-click it again and it will stay opened.
